Although the thesis p roposal has become an obligatory part of the thesis writing process\, its content and structure remain surprisingly opaque. This workshop will help you craft the best possible proposal by going over some key writing strate gies: finding the right tone for your audience\, articulating your main co ntributions\, and building a cohesive and compelling narrative to highligh t your research.Learning ObjectivesParticipants will learn:• how to clearl y present their proposed project• how to frame their argument and the broa der significance of their research• how to develop effective strategies fo r writing and revising their thesis proposalInstructionsYou will have an o pportunity to review and discuss the content\, structure\, and formatting of proposals in a range of fields and begin — or refine — your own proposa l. If you have a draft of your thesis proposal\, please bring it to the se ssion.FacilitatorThe workshop will be led by Alexandra Bacopoulos-Viau\, w ho holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge\, where her thesis was a warded the 2014 Dissertation Prize from the Forum for History of Human Sci ence.
