DESCRIPTION:Learn about Sikhism and the Sikh community in Canada by joining
  a local community for kirtan (songs and prayers) and langar (community me
 al).  We'll have time to discuss and learn from Juss Kaur\, MORSL’s Sikh f
 aith volunteer leader in our Multifaith Network. Open to all current McGil
 l students in any program or level of study.  Starting Location: This is a
  joint event with Concordia's Multi-faith and Spirituality Centre\, and we
  will meet at EV Atrium (at Concordia. See their campus map. This is close
  to Guy-Concordia metro station). We'll travel together to the Gurudwara b
 y metro or bus. Accessibility: The gurudwara is accessible by stairs (inte
 rnal and covered external stairs).  Langar is a communal vegetarian meal\;
  you will be able to ask for details about ingredients\, and can refrain f
 rom eating any components of the meal that do not meet your dietary needs.

  to do our best to accommodate your needs. Dress code\, etiquette\, and wh
 at to know before you leave home: Please dress modestly and neatly (e.g. b
 usiness casual).  You will need to remove your shoes when entering the bui
 lding and store them in the cloakroom.  Generally\, people sit on the floo
 r in the prayer space\, so please ensure you are able to do so comfortably
  in your clothing (there are seats available for those with mobility needs
 ).  All people are asked to cover their heads with a scarf\, bandana or ot
 her head covering (no hats). Please note that men and women sit separately
  in the prayer space. In the prayer space\, please maintain an attitude of
  respect: be quiet and silence phones.
