  is designed for participants who have a foundational understanding of pro
 gramming and are ready to delve into MATLAB. The workshop will cover essen
 tial MATLAB functionalities with a particular focus on workspace proficien
 cy\, image data analysis\, and effective plotting techniques. By the end o
 f the session\, participants will be adept at using MATLAB for various tas
 ks\, from manipulating image data to creating and customizing plots for cl
 ear data visualization. By the end of this workshop\, participants will be
  able to:1. Feel comfortable using the MATLAB workspace: Understand syntax
 \, write and run scripts\, use built-in functions\, and navigate MATLAB do
 cumentation and     community resources.2. Process image data: Load\, mani
 pulate\, analyze\, and save image data.3. Produce interpretable result plo
 ts: Know how to create and customize a variety of plots. Pre-requisites:1.
  Students must have MATLAB installed and functioning on their laptop befor
 e the workshop. Installation steps will not be covered during the workshop
 . Assistance     can be provided upon reasonable request.2. Students are e
 xpected to have a basic level of understanding of programming concepts (ex
 . writing and running a script\, variables\, for loops\, if/else statement
 s\,     creating and calling functions\, etc.) **IMPORTANT NOTICE: Attenda
 nce for 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ graduate students and postdoctoral fellows is subsidized by
  Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. All other attendees such as undergradu
 ate students\, interns and/or graduate students from other institutions ar
 e required to purchase a ticket to cover organizational and staffing costs
