Stroke Awareness Month

June is a reminder of the importance of recognizing the signs of a stroke and understanding how to reduce the risks. Stroke continues to be one of the leading causes of death and disability in Canada.

National Indigenous Peoples Day

Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day—a time to recognize and celebrate the traditions, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis.

We encourage you to take some time to learn more about First Nations, Inuit and Métis as well as our collective past. The best way to do this is through their own voices. We’ve selected books by Indigenous authors from our book collection on Indigenous health.

June is Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month

To mark Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month, we are pleased to present a new educational brochure on myasthenia gravis for newly diagnosed individuals and their loved ones.

The idea for this resource arose from a discussion between a patient with myasthenia gravis and Maxime Grenier, a master’s student in physical therapy at 91˿Ƶ, during which Maxime noted a lack of resources and support for people living with this condition.
