Black walnut is not a tree you will see in Montréal unless you find one that has been planted. The nuts are good to eat, and the husks are used as a fabric dye. In the Morgan Arboretum, there is a large plantation of these trees that was made in the 1950s. Babies of these trees can now be found in other parts of the Arboretum’s forests!
