SSHRC Impact Awards (Talent)

​The Talent Award recognizes outstanding achievement by a current SSHRC doctoral or postdoctoral fellowship or scholarship award holder. The Talent Award is awarded to an individual who maintains academic excellence, has a talent for research and knowledge mobilization and has demonstrated clear potential to be a future leader within and/or outside the academic sector.

Special notes for applicants:

  • As per the Ìýlast year made by the Presidents of the three federal research funding agencies (CIHR, NSERC, and SSHRC), the granting councils have begunÌýtransitioning to aÌý for funding opportunities using the Convergence Portal.ÌýThis includes the Talent Award competition. Each institution may submit onlyÌý´Ç²Ô±ðÌýnomination. Units may submit onlyÌýoneÌýnomination to GPS, this is a very competitive award and therefore onlyÌýtruly exceptionalÌýstudents that meet the criteria outlined by SSHRC should be nominated.
