680 Sherbrooke Street West – Planned Building Closures – January and February 2026

Essential electrical work is scheduled atÌý680ÌýSherbrookeÌýStreet West and will require a series of planned electrical shutdowns. These shutdowns are required to replace the 25 kV circuit breakers used to control the building’s main electrical supply.ÌýDuring each shutdown window, the building will not be operational and no activities may take place.

The currently anticipated shutdown dates are:

  • Saturday, January 31Ìý– 6:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.

  • Saturday, February 7Ìý– 6:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.

  • Saturday, February 14Ìý– 6:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.

To reduce risk and ensure a safe intervention, occupants must plan accordingly by saving work in advance and shutting down or unplugging all non-essential equipment prior to each shutdown. Please note that lighting, elevators, and HVAC systems will only be operational in emergency and safety mode for the duration of the shutdowns.

TheÌýserver room will remain protected, and appropriate safeguards will be in place throughout the intervention.
