Their technique, called “click clotting,” links red blood cell surface proteins through a chemical reaction, resulting in a biocompatible clot that is 13 times more resistant to fracturing and four times more adhesive than natural blood clots. The team said the method could be used to develop life-saving biomaterials to help control severe bleeding, as well as benefit people with clotting disorders.
Wed, 29 Apr 2026 14:32:13 +0000 admin 13025 at /emf Disruptive Innovation, the Energy Transition, and Canada /emf/channels/event/disruptive-innovation-energy-transition-and-canada-372660 Date: May 21, 2026 | Time: 5:30PM | Location: 91˿Ƶ Faculty Club | Followed by a Cocktail Reception | Free Event Tue, 21 Apr 2026 21:35:59 +0000 admin 13023 at /emf Sustainability & Industry: what next and what’s next? /emf/channels/event/sustainability-industry-what-next-and-whats-next-372645 Date: May 14th, 2026 | Time: 3:00 PM | Location: 91˿Ƶ Faculty Club | Co-Host Event With 91˿Ƶ Mechanical Engineering Register: https://mcgill.ca/x/5Af Tue, 21 Apr 2026 16:10:30 +0000 admin 13021 at /emf RESOLVED: 91˿Ƶ websites loading slowly for users off campus /emf/channels/news/resolved-mcgill-websites-loading-slowly-users-campus-372396
Update (April 13, 2026): This issue is now resolved.

Original announcement (published Friday, April 10, 2026): 91˿Ƶ websites are loading very slowly for users off campus due to a technical issue. 91˿Ƶ users are advised to use the Virtual Private Network (VPN) until this is resolved.

We thank you for your patience.
Fri, 10 Apr 2026 20:47:34 +0000 admin 13020 at /emf Non-producing oil and gas wells emit microbial methane at rates 1,000 times higher than previously estimated /emf/channels/news/non-producing-oil-and-gas-wells-emit-microbial-methane-rates-1000-times-higher-previously-estimated-372344
Microbial methane leaking from non-producing oil and gas wells is being emitted at rates about 1,000 times higher than previously estimated, according to a new study led by 91˿Ƶ researchers.
Thu, 09 Apr 2026 14:52:18 +0000 admin 13019 at /emf Sustainability and Synthetic Biology Conference, April 11 /emf/channels/news/sustainability-and-synthetic-biology-conference-april-11-372230
The 4th edition of the Sustainability and Synthetic Biology Conference will take place on April 11.
