DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Act
 ion on Violence Against Women\, on which Canadians pause to remember the 1
 4 women who were murdered\, and the 14 others who were injured\, in the ma
 ssacre that took place at École Polytechnique de Montréal on December 6\, 
 1989.\n	In 1991\, 91˿����Ƶ’s Senate adopted a resolution stating\,
  in part\, that “this violence cannot be forgotten by this generation or a
 ny other.” On this final day of fall classes\, in accordance with the reso
 lution\, our community will observe a minute of silence at 10:37 a.m.\n	On 
 December 6\, 91˿����Ƶ’s flags will fly at half-staff and members of the McGi
 ll community are invited to attend a memorial at 11:30 a.m.\, which will t
 ake place at the commemorative site located in front of University Centre\
 , 3480 McTavish Street. In the case of inclement weather\, the event will 
 take place in the Ballroom of University Centre.\n	 \n
