Business ethics case competition brings students together to tackle finance challenges

Students from across North America came together for an intense, fast-paced challenge at the fourth annual Business Ethics Case Competition, hosted by 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµâ€™s Laidley Centre for Business Ethics and Equity. With just five hours to analyze a complex finance case, teams applied strategic thinking, collaboration and ethical judgment to tackle real-world dilemmas. This year focused on the evolving challenges of ethics in finance, including climate risk and market fairness.

Supported by RBC Wealth Management PH&N Investment Counsel, the competition offered a unique opportunity to bridge classroom learning with industry realities. From an engaging keynote to high-stakes final presentations, participants explored the difficult balance between fiduciary responsibility and broader societal impact—gaining invaluable experience that will shape their future careers.
