Brain Health Matters at Every Age — Let’s Reduce Stigma

Interactive campus event promotes brain health awareness and dementia prevention

In recognition of Brain Health Awareness Month, 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Students for Geriatric Health, in partnership with the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Dementia Education Program (DEP), will host Brain Health Matters at Every Age — Let’s Reduce Stigma on March 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the University Centre (3480 McTavish Street), 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ.

This interactive and welcoming event is designed to raise awareness about brain health, dementia prevention, and cognitive well-being among students, staff, and faculty. Through engaging activities, brief evidence-informed discussions, and practical tools, participants will learn how simple lifestyle habits can support brain health across the lifespan.

The event aims to:

  • Increase awareness of brain health at every age
  • Share accessible, actionable cognitive health strategies
  • Promote dementia education and prevention resources
  • Highlight the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Dementia Education Program’s free online and in-person initiatives
  • Foster open, stigma-free conversations about brain health

By combining science, education, and interactive engagement, the event seeks to empower the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ community with knowledge and practical tools — all in a welcoming and dynamic environment.
