DESCRIPTION:In this series of workshops\, the Graduate Diploma in Legal Tra
nslation at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ invites you to discover different dimensions
of professions at the crossroad of law and languages. We offer both intro
ductory workshops to key professions\, such as legal translation and court
interpreting\, as well as workshops on highly specialized issues that wil
l better meet the needs of experienced jurilinguists.\n\nThis workshop off
ers practical tools to rethink how legal information is created and shared
. Drawing on extensive hands-on experience\, it will show how user-centere
d design can transform legal communication by shifting perspective from th
e professional’s viewpoint to that of the people who actually use document
s and services.\n\nThrough accessible examples and actionable tips\, parti
cipants will be encouraged to connect these insights to their own practice
\, leaving with concrete approaches to make complex information more under
standable and relevant.\n\nAlthough rooted in the legal field\, this works
hop is equally valuable for non-lawyers\, since design thinking applies ac
ross disciplines to improve communication and services. Ultimately\, the s
ession demonstrates why adopting design thinking is not only useful but ne
cessary to enhance clarity\, usability\, and trust\, and to create solutio
ns that truly meet people’s needs.\n\nThis initiative is supported by Just
ice Canada's Access to Justice in Both Official Languages Support Fund.\n
