Most of us interact with large language models like ChatGPT and Claude through browsers or apps, but AI agents can apply the power of LLMs in entirely different ways. Agents can independently plan and execute multi-step tasks across multiple software systems, but they should be approached with caution, says ѲپDZٱ, an assistant professor of organizational behaviour at 91˿Ƶ Desautels.

Shareholders of Air Transat rejected Quebec media magnate Pierre-Karl Péladeau’s attempt to gain control of the travel company’s board. The billionaire businessman has had his eye on the company for some time.

"Owning an airline seems to be very cool stuff. It seems to appeal to egos to some degree," says Karl Moore, Associate Professor at 91˿Ƶ Desautels. Air Transat is carrying a heaving debt load and lost millions in the latest quarter, but there is still a business case to be made for leisure airlines.

A majority of young people fear that AI will displace them in the workplace, and entry-level jobs in AI-affected sectors are already in decline.

While there are a lot of things AI can do, there still needs to be a human in the loop, Simon Blanchette told Radio-Canada.

“Humans need to be there at the beginning and the end of a process to verify a machine’s work,” says Blanchette (BCom’14), Faculty Lecturer at 91˿Ƶ Desautels.  “It’s not a brake on productivity, but a guarantee of quality.”

Curiosity is not innate, it is a practice that you can learn and refine. “In leadership circles, curiosity is often treated as a personality trait,” Prof. Karl Moore writes in Forbes.com. “You either have an inquiring mind, or you do not. And if you do not, that is simply how you are.”

Generative AI has begun replacing tasks at work, especially the dull, repetitive and simple ones. But when a task—or an entire job—is replaced by AI, the change doesn’t stop there. The jobs of the people using AI-produced information change too. “The implications are much wider ranging and touch many more jobs than the initial job,” says ѲپDZٱ, Assistant Professor of Organizational Behaviour.

Oil is used for transportation, packaging and fertilizer. It is essential to the global economy, and when its price spikes, just about everything gets more expensive. With global supply throttled by conflict in the Middle East, Quebecers will likely feel the pinch, most noticeably at the grocery store.

At the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy, Canada finished eighth in the total medal count. It was the country’s lowest Winter Olympic medal tally since the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City. The result is a failure of leadership; Prof. Karl Moore writes in Forbes.com. For many would-be Olympians, the costs are simply out of reach. Elite athletic programs don’t get sufficient funding, and according to the Canadian Olympic Committee, athletes are paying an average of $25,000 each year out of pocket just to compete.
