The Canadian Geotechnical Society recognized Professor Mohamed Meguid of the Department of Civil Engineering by presenting him with the “2022 Geosynthetics Award”.  This prestigious award is presented biannually by the Society for outstanding publications in the application of geosynthetics to civil, geotechnical or geoenvironemental engineering. The Awards Ceremony took place October 5th during the 75th Canadian Geotechnical Conference in Calgary.

Evelyn Zhang, a U2 Civil student, and Èvane Amico a U2 Civil student qualified to the Canadian Engineering Competition (CEC) 2021 last January after winning the Innovative Design category at the Quebec Engineering Competition.

We were proud to represent 91˿Ƶ at the first virtual edition of CEC this weekend. We had the chance to present our innovative green roofs design in front of 6 amazing judges with international repute alongside 6 others team.
