 \nupcoming 2012 SSHRC Insight Grants competition.\n\nFor your convenience 
 there will be two sessions\noffered:\n \nMonday\, August 27\, 2012\n

 e:\n \n·         a brief\npresentation about the objectives and requiremen
 ts of the\nInsight Grants\;\n \n·       \npresentations of 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ research
 ers\, who served as\nevaluators at the last Insight Grants competition and
  will\nprovide potential applicants with insider information about the\npe
 er review system and strategies for creating successful research\nproposal
 s.\n\n- On Monday\, August 27\, it will be\nProfessor Sherry Olson (Depart
 ment of Geography)\nand\nProfessor France Bouthillier (School of\nInformat
 ion Studies)\;\n\n- On Tuesday\, August 28\, it will be\nProfessor John Ga
 laty (Department of\nAnthropology) and\nProfessor Jacob T. Levy (Departmen
 t of Political\nScience)\;\n·        a question\nand answer period where p
 articipants will be encouraged to\npose any questions that they may have a
 bout this funding\nopportunity. \nFor participants who may not feel comfor
 table asking a question\nduring the session or might not be able to attend
  the workshop\, we\ninvite you to send your questions in advance to joanna
 .mastalerek [at] mcgill.ca (Joanna Mastalerek)\, who\nwill include them in
  the question and answer period.\n \nThe Office of Sponsored Research will
  offer a guide for\npreparing applications to this funding opportunity\, w
 hich will be\ndistributed at the workshop.  \n \nPlease note that\, as ind
 icated in SSHRC’s\n\nregulations governing multiple\napplications\, resear
 chers who have already\napplied to Insight Development Grants in 2012 are 
 not eligible to\napply to Insight Grants in 2012\, whether successful in t
 he Insight\nDevelopment Grant competition or not. \n \nFor all questions r
