DESCRIPTION:The Max Bell Foundation - 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Program is a\npartn
 ership between 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ and the Max Bell Foundation\, a Canadian\nindependen
 t grant making foundation that pursues its mission by\nsupporting Canadian
  registered charities.\nThe Foundation was established by its namesake in 
 1972. Max Bell\nearned a commerce degree at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ in 1932\, where he also
  played\nvarsity football and hockey. When he established the Foundation\,
  he\nstipulated that 30% of all of the Foundation's grants go to 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ\nU
 niversity - half to the Faculty of Medicine\, and half to other\n91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ pr
 ograms. Since 1974\, the Foundation has proudly granted\nover $21 million 
 to 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ in the areas of:\n\nHealth & Wellness\nEducation\nThe Environmen
 t\n\nSenior Program Officers from the Max Bell Foundation will hold\nan in
 formation session on their upcoming call for Letters of Intent\nfor intere
 sted 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ faculty from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.\non Monday\, March 19\,

 Individual meetings of 30 minutes can also be arranged between\n9:00 and 1

 ions\, and application\nguidelines are available online at www.maxbell.org
 .\nProjects must be consistent with the academic priorities of the\nUniver
 sity and with the mission and normal grant giving rules and\nprocedures of
  the Foundation. A consultative evaluation process of\nLOIs will take plac
 e at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ\, and will help the Office of the\nVice-Principal (Research an
 d International Relations) to rank and\nrecommend LOI submissions to Max B
 ell. The Foundation will conduct\na separate review.\nProjects supported b
 y the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ-Max Bell program range in size\nand duration. Typical duratio
 n is between two to three years\, with\ncomplete project budgets of betwee
 n $50\,000 and $400\,000.\nThere are now three options for submitting the 
 LOI form\, which\nmay be found on the Foundation's website at www.maxbell.
 org/letter-intent-submission.\nLetters of Intent must be submitted jointly
  to 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ and Max\nBell on or before July 31\, 2012. Those approved by bo
 th\ninstitutions will be asked to submit full proposals on or before\nAugu
 st 31\, 2012.\nLOIs should be sent in electronic format simultaneously to
 \n91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ's Office of the Vice-Principal (Research and International\nRelat
