Max Bell\nearned a commerce degree at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ in 1932\, where he also played\nvarsity football and hockey. When he established the Foundation\, he\nstipulated that 30% of all of the Foundation's grants go to 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ\nU niversity - half to the Faculty of Medicine\, and half to other\n91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ pr ograms. Since 1974\, the Foundation has proudly granted\nover $21 million to 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ in the areas of:\n\nHealth & Wellness\nEducation\nThe Environmen t\n\nSenior Program Officers from the Max Bell Foundation will hold\nan in formation session on their upcoming call for Letters of Intent\nfor intere sted 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ faculty from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.\non Monday\, March 19\, 2012. A consultative evaluation process of\nLOIs will take plac e at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ\, and will help the Office of the\nVice-Principal (Research an d International Relations) to rank and\nrecommend LOI submissions to Max B ell. The Foundation will conduct\na separate review.\nProjects supported b y the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ-Max Bell program range in size\nand duration. Typical duratio n is between two to three years\, with\ncomplete project budgets of betwee n $50\,000 and $400\,000.\nThere are now three options for submitting the LOI form\, which\nmay be found on the Foundation's website at www.maxbell. org/letter-intent-submission.\nLetters of Intent must be submitted jointly to 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ and Max\nBell on or before July 31\, 2012.
