 \, has created a battleground between the “have’s”\nand “have-nots”. These
  gaps in wealth\, access and influence can be\nrealized by looking closely
  at the differences between: rural and\nurban lifestyles\, the economics o
 f labor\, the lack of a social\nsafety net\, and faltering of China’s high
 er education systems.\nJust recently the world witnessed a massive shift i
 n Chinese\ndemographics\, as there are now 51% of people living in urban\n
 settings. This new reality of becoming a country of urban dwellers\nwill g
 reatly affect the labor market\, social security\, access to\ninformation\
 , access to education and ambitions of University\ngraduates. Join Ryan Py

 otographer Ryan Pyle\nfirst visited China in 2001. After a three-month tri
 p around the\ncountry he was hooked. He has never left since. It was very 
 much\nRyan's first trip to China that inspired him to enter the\ndisciplin
 e of photography\, and since then his imagery has graced\nthe pages of the
  New York Times\, Wall Street Journal\, Time\,\nNewsweek\, Fortune\, The S
 unday Times Magazine and the Financial\nTimes Magazine. Born in Toronto\, 
 Canada\, Ryan Pyle spent his early\nyears close to home. After obtaining a
  degree in International\nPolitics from the University of Toronto in 2001\
 , Ryan realized a\nlife long dream and traveled to China on an exploratory
  mission. In\n2002 Ryan moved to China permanently and in 2003 began takin
 g\nfreelance newspaper and magazine assignments. In 2004 Ryan became a\nre
 gular contributor to the New York Times. In 2009 Ryan was listed\nby PDN M
 agazine as one of the 30 emerging photographers in the\nworld. Ryan Pyle i
