DESCRIPTION:In February 2011\, CAPI released a discussion paper entitled\n'
 Canada's Agri-Food Destination'. For a period of 18 months prior\nto the r
 elease of the paper\, CAPI engaged with stakeholders of the\nagri-food sec
 tor in a process to develop new ideas for a strategic\nshift in the agri-f
 ood sector. The discussion paper is the\nculmination of that work. Daniel 
 Yeon will present the results of\nthe discussion paper and current develop
 ments.\n \nThe Destination Report discussed the need for a long term\nstra
 tegic plan for the agri-food sector with commonly held goals\,\nprecise ta
 rgets and matrix to measure success. Canada's agri-food\nsector is major c
 ontributor to the Canadian economy with one in\neight Canadians employed i
 n the agri-food sector. With its\nabundance of resources\, Canada has an o
 pportunity to be a world\nleader in the production of nutritious and safe 
 food produced in a\nsustainable and profitable manner. The Destination Rep
 ort also\nintroduced the need for better collaboration through food system
 s\nthinking.\nMr. Daniel Yeon\, Vice-President\, Operations\, Canadian Agr
 i-Food\nPolicy Institute (CAPI)\, Ottawa\,  will present the results of\nt
 he discussion paper and discuss how food systems thinking can help\nthe Ca
 nadian agri-food sector succeed in meeting the future growing\nexpectation
