 m\nThe Office of Sponsored Research is pleased to invite faculty\nmembers 
 to an outreach session aimed at providing researchers with\nthe informatio
 n necessary to connect and build relationships with\nindustrial partners.
 \n91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ will be hosting representatives from three national\nfunding prog
 rams geared towards university-industry partnership\,\nnamely MITACS Accel
 erate\, NSERC Engage and Connect Canada.\nMITACS Accelerate\nMitacs-Accele
 rate is Canada’s premiere research internship\nprogram\, connecting compan
 ies with over 50 research-based\nuniversities through graduate students an
 d postdoctoral fellows\,\nwho apply their specialized expertise to real-wo
 rld industrial\nchallenges. Interns transfer their skills from theory to\n
 real-world application\, while the companies gain a competitive\nadvantage
  by accessing high-quality research expertise.\nNSERC Engage\nThe Engage G
 rants Program is intended to give companies that\noperate from a Canadian 
 base access to the unique knowledge and\nexpertise available at Canadian u
 niversities. This program is\nintended to foster the development of new re
 search partnerships\nbetween academic researchers and companies that have 
 never\ncollaborated together before\, by supporting short-term research an
 d\ndevelopment projects aimed at addressing a company-specific problem\nin
  the natural sciences or engineering fields.\nConnect Canada\nConnect Cana
 da is a federally-funded\, national internship\nprogram that links Canadia
 n companies with graduate students and\npost-doctoral fellows for research
  placements. Open to companies in\nany sector and students in any field\, 
 Connect Canada is a\ncost-effective way for companies to conduct R&D while
  providing\nstudents with an opportunity to enhance their graduate studies
 \nwhile gaining real-world experience. Canada interns will apply the\nlate
 st in research methods and know-how to the most pressing\nindustrial R&D i
