 rm that a future history of Quebec might take.\nA 2006 Trudeau Fellow\, Jo
 celyn Létourneau is a professor with\nthe Department of History\, a resear
 cher at CELAT (Centre\ninteruniversitaire d'études sur les lettres\, les a
 rts et les\ntraditions) and holder of the Canada Research Chair in Contemp
 orary\nPolitical History and Economy in Quebec at Université Laval.\nThe p
 resentation will be in English and French\, and simultaneous\ntranslation 
 will be offered.\nFree admission\; reception to follow.\n \nTrudeau Lectur
 es\nEach year\, the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation selects up to\nfive 
 fellows who have contributed to the enhancement of knowledge\nand the adva
 ncement of society through leading-edge research\,\ncreative work and comm
 itment to societal debates on major issues of\npublic policy. The Foundati
 on's substantial financial support\nenables its fellows to devote themselv
 es more freely to critical\nthinking and innovative approaches to their wo
 rk. The Trudeau\nFoundation inaugurated the Trudeau Lectures in the fall o
 f 2008\nwith a view to promoting the Trudeau Fellowship and disseminating
 \nTrudeau fellows' thinking and experience. Organized in\ncollaboration wi
 th Canadian universities\, the Trudeau Lectures are\nan annual series of p
 ublic lectures at which Trudeau fellows\nhighlight their ideas\, their res
 earch and their role as public\nintellectuals. Each year\, the Foundation 
 publishes the text of the\nlectures in the Trudeau Foundation Papers. The 
 papers are\navailable in both official languages in print and online at th
