DESCRIPTION:Elizabeth Jelin is a Senior Researcher at CONICET (Consejo\nNac

 obtained a PhD in Sociology at\nthe University of Texas at Austin. Her res
 earch interests and\npublications are in the fields of human rights\, memo
 ry of political\nrepression\, citizenship\, social movements\, gender and 
 the family.\nShe currently teaches at the Doctoral Program in the Social\n
 Sciences at UNGS-IDES\, a program she directed since its creation in\n2003
  through 2007. She was a fellow at the Wissenschaftskolleg\nzu Berlin (200
 7-2008) and is currently a member of the\nAcademic Board of that instituti
 on. She is a Board member of\nUNRISD. Professor Jelin is a member of the e
 ditorial committees of\na number of journals and publications in the field
  of social\nsciences.\n \n
