 presidential election\, Mr.\nMichalevic was arrested and wrongfully impris
 oned by the government\nof Alexander Lukashenka\, widely recognized as Eur
 ope's last\ndictator. He was held for more than two months and subjected t
 o\ntorture for the duration.\nSince March 2011\, he has been living in exi
 le in the Czech\nRepublic and Poland after fleeing Belarus for fear of rep
 risals and\nhis life.\nMr. Michalevic's speech at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ will kick off a c
 ross-Canada\ntour that also includes stops in Ottawa\, Toronto\, Calgary\,
  and\nVancouver. He will be presented with the John Humphrey Award at a\nc
