These approaches are f ounded on the principle that\ninternational migration should be allowed an d promoted as long as\nit is regulated as an orderly\, lawful\, humane\, s afe and for all\nstakeholders (receiving and sending countries plus migran ts)\n‘beneficial’ process. In recent years\, intergovernmental\norganizati ons\, including the International Organization for\nMigration(IOM) have be come key players in the elaboration and\nprovision of national\, regional and global instruments to regulate\ncross-border movements of people. My p resentation will focus on the\nrole of these organizations in managing mig ration in the Eastern\nand Southeastern ‘Neighborhood’ of the European Uni on.\n \nABOUT THE SPEAKER\n\nhttp://www.network-migration.org/experten/dat enbank.php?guid=MIC4RQ&rid=1039\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n DTSTART:20111115T163000Z DTEND:20111115T180000Z SUMMARY:From migration governance to migration management.
