In this the 2nd year of the Rathlyn\nlecture we are proud to host Colin Barnes\, a leading activist and\nscholar in Disability Studies at Leeds University in the UK.\nDr. Barnes will address the devel opment of disability studies as\nan internationally recognised academic di scipline. His talk will\nraise important questions about its relevance bey ond the academy\nand the struggle for a more equitable and just society. H e will\nfocus on disability studies' fundamental role to play in the quest \nfor a meaningful and just society.
