 s). What is the purpose of using Jewish law in this\nmulticultural state? 
 Prof. Sinai will examine the function of\nJewish law in secular Israeli co
 urts by referencing multiple court\ncases in which Jewish law has been cit
 ed. Prof. Van Praagh will\ndiscuss the use of religious law in Canadian co
 urts and delineate\nsimilarities and differences to the Israeli reality.\n
 Lecturer: Prof. Yuval Sinai\nAssociate Professor of Law\, and Director of 
 the Center for the\nApplication of Jewish Law (ISMA)\, Law School\, Netany
 a\nAcademic College. His research interests are Jewish law\,\ncomparative 
 law\, civil procedure\, and tort law. He is the author of\ntwo books: The 
 Judge and the Judicial Process In Jewish Law (Hebrew\nUniversity of Jerusa
 lem Press\, 2009) (Heb.)\; Applications of Jewish\nLaw in the Israeli Cour
