 handra Madramootoo is Dean of the Faculty of\nAgricultural and Environment
 al Sciences\, Associate Vice Principal\nof 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ\, and a James
  91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Professor in the\nDepartment of Bioresource Engineering.\nHe was t
 he Founding Director of the Brace Centre for Water\nResources Management. 
 He obtained his BSc (AgrEng)\, MSc and PhD\ndegrees in agricultural engine
 ering at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ and has also\ndeveloped his academic career at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ as a
  professor in\nirrigation and drainage engineering.\nDean Madramootoo is a
  member of the Governing Board of the\nInternational Crops Research Instit
 ute for the Semi-Arid Tropics\n(ICRISAT)\, one of the 15 Centers supported
  by the Consultative\nGroup on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR)
 \, and\nheadquartered in Andhra Pradesh\, India. He provides advice to man
 y\ninstitutions\, including the Prairie Farm Rehabilitation\nAdministratio
 n of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada\, CIDA\, and\nFAO.\nHis research and
  teaching in water resources management has led\nto extensive internationa
 l involvement with governments and\ninstitutions in the Caribbean\, Centra
 l Asia\, Egypt\, Pakistan\, India\nand Sri Lanka.\nHe was responsible for 
 the creation of the Brace Centre for\nWater Resources Management on the Ma
 cdonald Campus of 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ\nUniversity\, and has played a pivotal role in bu
 ilding the Centre's\nextensive research\, teaching and technology transfer
  programs\, as\nwell as its research infrastructure.\nChandra Madramootoo 
 has published over 166 book chapters and\nrefereed journal papers. He has 
 delivered over 175 conference\npresentations\, and has been invited to del
 iver over 90 keynote\npresentations at national and international conferen
 ces and\nsymposia.\n \n
