 \nCanada Council which takes place every three years and gathers\ntalented
  musicians across the country for four days of intense\nscrutiny in search
  of the best performers. A jury of professional\nmusicians selects the win

 most valuable violins and cellos\nestimated at over $27 million. Following
  the musicians over the\ncourse of the 2009 audition process for the ultim

 ed I Medici di\n91˿����Ƶ since its 12th season in 2000.  He also directs\nCo
 ncerto Della Donna and the Montreal Children’s Choir. Formerly a\nprofesso
 r at 91˿����Ƶ\, he recently retired from being\nmusic director (a
 nd founder) of the St. Lawrence Choir\, MSO Choir\,\nOttawa Choral Society
  and the Canadian Chamber Choir.\n\nI Medici di 91˿����Ƶ was founded in 1989
  by Dr. A. L. Padjen of\n91˿����Ƶ’s Department of Pharmacology and Therapeut
 ics.  The\nmission of I Medici is to provide musical content for various\n
 events in the life of the Faculty of Medicine\, the University and\nthe co
 mmunity and thus add a unique social dimension to medical\neducation and t
 o the profession.  The orchestra also plays\nduring an annual lecture seri
 es on ‘’Biology of Music’’.  I\nMedici is available for fundraising events
 .  The players come\nfrom the staff and students of 91˿����Ƶ’s Fa
 culty of\nMedicine and the ensemble is completed by players from the\ncomm
 unity\, upon invitation and audition.\n
