 ivilege\nThe English Department’s Seventeenth Annual Graduate Conference\n
 on Language and Literature will take place March 4th-6th at Thomson\nHouse
  on 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Campus. The conference\, organized by the English\nGraduate Stu
 dent’s Association\, offers MA and PhD students from\n91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ\, as well as 
 other institutions internationally\, the\nopportunity to share their resea
 rch in a dynamic and supportive\nenvironment. This year’s conference featu
 res two additional panels\nto provide 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ English undergraduates with a
 n opportunity to\nshare their work in a graduate-level setting.\nWith a st
 rong interdisciplinary focus\, the Call for Papers has\nattracted submissi
 ons interpreting privilege in a variety of ways\,\nincluding literary\, an
 thropological\, historical\, philosophical\, and\nsociological examination
 s of class and status. Over 40 papers will\nbe presented at the conference
 \, contributing to collective\nunderstandings of aesthetic creation\, educ
 ation\, and the nature of\nsocial relationships and interactions with cult
 ure\, class\, and\ncommodity.\nWe are honoured to feature two addresses by
  invited speakers.\nOur Keynote Address\, on the topic of luxury will be g
 iven Saturday\nevening by Professor George Toles of the University of Mani
 toba.\nOur own Professor Allan Hepburn will present the second annual\nFac
 ulty Address on clutter and hoarding\, and objects as artefacts\non Friday
  evening.\nWe invite all members of the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ community\, as well as thos
 e\nfrom the wider community of Montreal\, to join us for all or part of\nt
