From this position\,\nthese cells exert a trophic effect on myog enic cells and enhance\nregeneration. In healthy regenerating muscle\, the se cells are\nquickly ablated and return to the initial numbers found in\n undamaged tissue. In muscle in which regeneration is impaired\,\nthese cel ls persist and eventually differentiate into both\nadipocytes and myofibro blasts. This complex interaction between\nmyogenic and fibro/adipogenic ce lls is further modulated by\ninflammatory cells and cytokines\,  suggestin g a model in which\ncrosstalk among multiple cell types is responsible for ensuring\nthat the tissue is either efficiently restored to its original \nfunction or\, if this is not possible\, repaired via the formation of\ns car tissue.\n\nMandatory for Graduate Students\n DTSTART:20101125T210000Z DTEND:20101125T210000Z LOCATION:McIntyre Medical Building\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3G 1Y6\, 3655 pr omenade Sir William Osler SUMMARY:Biochemistry Seminar - Dr. Fabio Rossi URL:/channels/event/biochemistry-seminar-dr-fabio-ross i-169497 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
