Most recently he served as Special Assistan t to\nthe President for Presidential Personnel. Before serving in the\nWhi te House\, Ambassador Jacobson spent 30 years gaining expertise\nin the ar eas of complex commercial\, class action\, securities\,\ninsurance and bus iness litigation as a partner at the law firm\nSonnenschein\, Nath & Rosen thal LLP. While working as a partner\nat Sonnenschein\, Ambassador Jacobso n also founded AtomWorks\, an\norganization to bring together corporate\, civic and academic\nleaders in order to foster nanotechnology in the Midwe st. He also\nserved as a member of CEOs for Cities\, a national bipartisan \nalliance of 75 mayors\, corporate executives\, university presidents\nan d nonprofit leaders organized to advance the economic\ncompetitiveness of cities. Ambassador Jacobson received a J.D. from\nGeorgetown University La w Center and was the Administrative Editor\nof the Georgetown Law Journal.
