 g\nCompany (Norton: 2010)\, Hoops (Norton: 2006)\, and Leaving Saturn\n(Un
 iversity of Georgia: 2002)\, winner of the Cave Canem Poetry\nPrize and fi
 nalist for a National Book Critics Circle Award. Hoops\nwas a finalist for
  an NAACP Image Award in the category of\nOutstanding Literature - Poetry.
  He is a recipient of a Whiting\nWriters' Award and has been honored by th
 e Pew Fellowship in the\nArts and the Witter Bynner Foundation in conjunct
 ion with the\nLibrary of Congress. He served as a creative arts fellow at 
 the\nRadcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University and as\n
 the Jack Kerouac Writer-in-Residence at University of\nMassachusetts-Lowel
 l. Major Jackson is the Richard Dennis Green and\nGold Professor at Univer
 sity of Vermont and a core faculty member\nof the Bennington Writing Semin
 ars. He serves as the Poetry Editor\nof the Harvard Review.\n
