 ng with their wild\nsquirrel and moose counterparts\, and several other wi
 ldlife\nspecies. How many spruce cones can a red squirrel hoard? Why do\na
 rctic moose and southern bats migrate north for the winter? What\nis a bea
 ver’s favourite food? Why can’t you catch marten and\ncollect beech nuts i
 n the same year? Murray Humphries is an\nassociate professor in the Depart
 ment of Natural Resource Sciences\nand holds a NSERC Northern Research Cha
 ir.\n2010 marks the 10th anniversary of the Food for\nThought Lecture seri
