 n\nAs the media and communications landscape is changing\, so is the\nway 
 it is governed\, regulated and enabled. New non-governmental\nactors are p
 articipating in new\, often informal\, regulatory\nmechanisms\, on a varie
 ty of levels between local and global\, and in\na converging yet increasin
 g variety of thematic areas.\nThe collaborative project 'Mapping Global Me
 dia Policy'\, which\nis hosted at Media@91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ\, offers a framework and me
 chanism for\nscholars to understand the relations\, interactions and compe
 ting\ninterests in this complex environment\, as well as the outcomes of\n
 policies and advocacy. The project encompasses an online database\nof poli
 cy measures\, actors and sites\; visual mapping tools\; and a\ndistinct re
 search agenda. The purposes of the project are to build\nand share knowled
 ge\, research current trends and stimulate\nscholarly collaboration.\nClau
 dia\nPadovani and Arne Hintz will\nintroduce the concept and theoretical f
 oundations\, provide a\npractical guideline for the online platform\, offe
 r insights related\nto future developments\, and highlight various scenari
 os of use.\nThis workshop will invite scholars and students to use and\nco
 ntribute to the project\, on the basis of their respective areas\nof inter
 est and approaches.\n
