In what wa ys does law apply to different\nindividuals and groups within plural natio n-states and what is the\nscope of such application? How do we discover th e legitimacy of\ncertain laws and their relationship to foundational democ ratic\nprinciples? How should we organize institutions to take into\naccou nt the concerns of different stakeholders? In what ways should\nlaw intera ct with science\, innovations\, and technology?\n \nPresenters will includ e current graduate students or those who\nhave recently completed graduate s studies.\nPapers will be in either French or English.\nThe Canadian Law and Society Association (CLSA)\ninvites you to take part in an afternoon o f workshops in\nconjunction with our annual conference. Unlike traditional paper\nsessions at conferences\, the GSW emphasize instruction\,\npartici pation\, and discussion. The workshops are designed to add a\npedagogical dimension to the CLSA's activities. They are intended\nto increase student membership and engagement with the CLSA\, and\nfoster collegiality and pr ofessional interaction among junior law\nand society scholars.
