 ry\, with the collaboration of those affected by\nthe issue being studied\
 , for the purpose of education and taking\naction or effecting social chan
 ge.” This presentation will outline\nthe history and the principles of thi
 s research approach\, give\npractical examples of developing and maintaini
 ng research\npartnerships and the resulting increased capacity building. P
 R\nrequires expanded ethics to consider the protection of the\ncollective 
 in addition to protection of the individual. Using\nexamples of current PR
  projects\, this presentation will also\nhighlight the links to knowledge 
 translation activities.\n
