 , 5333 Avenue Notre-Dame-de-Grâce\,\nMontréal QC H4A 1L2 (Metro Villa Mari
 a) under their conductor Iwan\nEdwards.\n\nThe concert opens with Charles 
 Gounod’s Petite Symphonie\, Emmanuel\nChabrier’s Ode à la musique\, and Cé
 sar Franck’s Réedemption\,\nfollowed by La Nuit by Camille Saint Saëns and
  Scènes alsaciennes\nby Jules Massenet.\n \nLyric soprano Charlotte Corwin
  is among Canada’s leading young\nsingers and is quickly becoming known as
  a versatile performer of\nboth opera and concert repertoire. In 2009 Char
 lotte was the winner\nof the Joseph Rouleau Award for the Best Artist from
  Quebec at the\n2009 edition of the Montreal International Music Competiti
 on. She\nhas sung alongside many of Quebec's leading orchestras and choral
 \ngroups including Les Violons du Roi\, the Cantabile Chorus and\nOrchestr
 a\, the St. Lawrence Choir and I Medici di 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ. As a\nmember of the eli
 te Atelier Lyrique de L'Opéra de Montréal from\n2005 to 2008\, Charlotte p
 erformed the roles of Suor Genovieffa\n(Suor Angelica)\, Asphodèle (Chabri
 er's L' Étoile)\, The Governess\n(Britten's Turn of the Screw)\, and Flami
 nia in Haydn's Il mondo\ndella luna.\n \nCharlotte received her Master’s D
 egree in Vocal Performance and\nOpera from 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ\, where her o
 peratic roles included\nMadame Lidoine in Poulenc's Dialogues of the Carmé
 lites\, Minerva in\nMonteverdi's Il ritorno d'Ulysse\, and Iris in Handel'
 s\nSemele.\n \nConcerto Della Donna is a dynamic group of young singers ba
 sed in\nMontreal under the direction of Maestro Iwan Edwards. Known for\nt
 heir emotionally-driven and highly communicative performances\, for\nthe p
 ast nine years Concerto Della Donna has been successful both\nthroughout C
 anada and abroad. Among numerous concerts in Canada\,\nthey have performed
  at the Église Saints-Anges in Lachine which was\nlater broadcast on Espac
 e Musique\, as well as having toured abroad\nlast year in Serbia and Croat
 ia. In addition to their regular\nconcert series\, they play alongside man
 y organizations and\nperformers for numerous fundraising events. Over the 
 years Concerto\nDella Donna has collaborated with the Vanier College Choir
 \, CEM\,\nthe 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Conservatory Youth Choir\, the St. Lawrence Choir\, a
 nd le\nChoeur des Enfants de Montréal.\n\nMaestro Iwan Edwards has conduct
 ed I Medici di 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ since its\n12th season in 2000.  He also directs Con
 certo Della Donna and\nthe Montreal Children’s Choir. Formerly a professor
  at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ\nUniversity\, he recently retired from being music director (an
 d\nfounder) of the St. Lawrence Choir\, the MSO Choir\, the Ottawa\nChoral
  Society and the Canadian Chamber Choir.\n\nI Medici di 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ was founded
  in 1989 by Dr. A. L. Padjen of\n91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ’s Department of Pharmacology and T
 herapeutics.  The\nmission of I Medici is to provide musical content for v
 arious\nevents in the life of the Faculty of Medicine\, the University and
 \nthe community and thus add a unique social dimension to medical\neducati
 on and to the profession.  The orchestra also plays\nduring an annual lect
 ure series on “Biology of Music’’.  I\nMedici is available for fundraising
  events.  The players come\nfrom the staff and students of 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Universi
 ty’s Faculty of\nMedicine and the ensemble is completed by players from th
 e\ncommunity\, upon invitation and audition.\nThe musicians of I Medici ar
 e all volunteers. Admission to all I\nMedici public concerts is free but a
 s there are costs associated\nwith putting on each concert\, a voluntary c
 ontribution of $15 at\nthe door is strongly encouraged.  More information
