 r B.A. and M.A. degrees at\nthe Hebrew University of Jerusalem and studied
  Turkish at Boğaziçi\nUniversity\, Istanbul. Her main areas of interest ar
 e: History of\nOttoman architecture and art\, 19th century history of Ista
 nbul and\nWorld History. Her dissertation focuses on the imperial palaces
 \nthat were built in Istanbul during the second half of the 19th\ncentury 
 and examines their historical\, social\, political and urban\nfunctions at
  that time.\n
