She\nwill also offe r some practical solutions for improving the lives of\nindividuals with au tism.\n\nTara Flanagan\, MA’02\, PhD’08\, conducts research in the areas o f\nsocial cognition\, social inclusion and social policy for persons\nwith developmental disabilities. She is particularly interested in\nthe transi tion from school to the community for young adults with\ndevelopmental dis abilities and in the notions of adulthood and\nquality of life for individ uals on the autism spectrum. She is\ndirector of SPARC (Social Policy\, Ad vocacy\, Research\, Community)\, a\nresearch group comprised of graduate s tudents from diverse\nbackgrounds and with an array of strengths and inter ests.
