They are left isolated from their\nvillages for pr olonged periods of time that can last up to several\nyears.\nThe Associati on unchains these persons\, gives\nthem the health and social care\nthat i s necessary\, and assists them in reintegrating into their\nfamily and the ir village. Stigma is a universal phenomenon in\nmental health. The Associ ation works to change the shame felt by\nfamily members which is at the ro ot of these acts.
