 h speaker will center her or his presentation on\nthe role of media during
  the U.S. and Canadian election campaigns\nand in the post-election period
 .\nNdimyake Mwakalyelye\, a television reporter for Voice of America\nTV w
 ill be discussing the U.S. elections\; Manon Cornellier\,\npolitical repor
 ter for Le Devoir\, will talk about both the\nFrancophone and Anglophone C
 anadian press\; John Ibbitson\, Globe and\nMail Columnist\, will deal with
  both the U.S. and the Canadian\nelections. Each panelist will develop her
  or his own angle of\nanalysis.\nFocusing on specific features of media co
 verage of the Canadian\nand the US elections\, the panel will take up the 
 question of\nwhether the media did their job during and right after the\ne
 lections.\nAs Media@91˿����Ƶ Acting Director Will Straw says\, “ With\nFaceb
 ook\, partisan cable news networks\, political blogs and\ntraditional news
 papers fighting for a role in the political\nprocess\, the question of the
  media’s role in elections has become\nmore complicated and urgent than ev
