  Day with a\nceremony on the University’s downtown campus Tuesday morning.
 \nTuesday’s event will begin at 10:30 with a procession from the\nRoddick 
 Gates to the Arts Building\, where a wreath will be placed\nby a veteran a
 nd by Principal and Vice-Chancellor Heather\nMunroe-Blum.\nIn the 20th cen
 tury’s two World Wars\, 91˿����Ƶ lost more than 600\nmen and women: 363 from
  91˿����Ƶ perished in World War I and another\n298 lost their lives in World
  War II. 91˿����Ƶ also made significant\ncontributions to the medical care o
 f wounded soldiers in both\nwars.\nSince the World Wars\, “91˿����Ƶ has cont
 inued to contribute its\nfinest individuals to help resolve conflicts in K
 osovo\, Eritrea\,\nAfghanistan and elsewhere\,” said Wes Cross\, an admini
 strator in\nStudent Services and co-founder of the 91˿����Ƶ Remembers Projec
 t\n(www.mcgillremembers.mcgill.ca).\n“As a community\, 91˿����Ƶ should never
  forget them.”\nIn Flanders Fields\, the famous poem about fallen\nsoldier
 s\, was written by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae\, a 91˿����Ƶ\nsurgeon who 
 was in charge of a field hospital during World War I.\nThe poem will be re
 ad at the ceremony.\nFollowing commemorative readings by leaders of the St
 udent\nSociety of 91˿����Ƶ\, Rev. Jeffrey Barlow\, the University
 \nchaplain\, will address the gathering of veterans\, alumni\, students\na
 nd staff.\nAt 11 a.m.\, a military trumpeter will play Last Post\,\nfollow
 ed by a minute of silence. The ceremony will conclude at\n11:04\, after a 
 piper plays The Lament and the trumpet\nplays Rouse.\n
