These\ndevelopments are used as a springboard to r eflect upon the way in\nwhich international criminal law conceives of vict ims of atrocities\nand mass violence and how this conception differs from those of\nother perspectives.\nSébastien Jodoin is a John Peters Humphrey fellow in\ninternational human rights law at the University of Cambridge a nd a\nLegal Research Fellow at the Centre for International Sustainable\nD evelopment Law. He has worked in the Appeals Chamber of the UN\nInternatio nal Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and in\nTrial Chamber III of the UN International Criminal Tribunal for\nRwanda.
