 Health Centre’s successful DOVE project (Detecting Ovarian cancer\nEarly).
 \n\nEvery year in Montreal\, 350 women are diagnosed with ovarian\ncancer.
 \nUnfortunately in 280 of these women\, the diagnosis is made after\nthe c
 ancer has spread from the ovaries\, attacked other important\norgans\, and
  become incurable despite extensive surgery and repeated\nchemotherapy tre
 atments.\nAs stage I ovarian cancer is curable by surgery alone in over\n9
 0% of the cases\, the key to saving lives is to increase the\nproportion o
 f women diagnosed in stage I. The DOVE team has set up\nthe world’s first 
 ever Rapid Access Diagnostic Center for the early\ndetection of ovarian ca
