 spectives. Complementary and alternative medicines (CAM)\nchallenge conven

  governments\, insurance companies\, and\npatients. Some are closely tied\
 , moreover\, to religious or\nspiritual orientations. This symposium will 
 examine how these\napproaches perceive and negotiate their boundaries. Do 
 conflicts\nexpress the “culture wars” of our time? Can anyone establish\ng
 rounds for “reasonable accommodation”? What are the implications\nfor medi
 cine\, law\, religion\, and multiculturalism?\nKeynote speakers\nDavid Col
 quhoun \, an eminent UK scientist and noted skeptic.\nDavid Colquhoun\, is
  a professor of pharmacology at University\nCollege London\, fellow of the
  Royal Society and blogger (Improbable\nScience).\nMichael H. Cohen \, a l
 awyer and professor at Harvard School\nof Public Health\, is the author of
  many books on legal\, regulatory\,\nand ethical problems arising from com
 plementary and alternative\nmedicine (CAM).\nKatherine K. Young is James M
 cGill Professor in the Faculty\nof Religious Studies\, 91˿����Ƶ. 
 She publishes in the areas\nof Hinduism\, comparative religion\, comparati
