 n the public service\n\n \n\nGINA WILSON\n	Associate Deputy MinisterPublic 
 Safety Canada\n\nGina Wilson began her career in her First Nation communit
 y of Kitigan-Zibi as Executive Director of Health and Social Services and 
 as Director of the Wanaki Treatment Centre. Ms. Wilson was a Senior Manage
 r with the Assembly of First Nations (AFN)\, a national Aboriginal organiz
 ation representing First Nation communities in Canada when she joined the 
 Federal Government in 1996 and for five years served as Director General\,
  Aboriginal Affairs at Correctional Service Canada. In 2003\, Gina became 
 Director General at Human Resources Skills Development Canada\, before mov
 ing to the Privy Council Office (PCO) in 2005 as Director General of Engag
 ement\, where she organized a First Ministers Meeting.\n\nGina Wilson was 
 appointed in 2006 as Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM) with Indian Residenti
 al Schools Resolution Canada and was a partner in the implementation of a 
 settlement agreement for approximately 80\,000 survivors of Indian Residen
 tial Schools in Canada. Her office oversaw the co-ordination of events lea
 ding to the Prime Minister's historic Apology on June 11\, 2008. She then 
 was named Senior Assistant Deputy Minister\, Regional Operations\, at Indi
 an and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) and was responsible for the implemen
 tation of operations and programming in seven regions. Gina was also a par
 ticipant in the Advanced Leadership Program (ALP) in 2009.\n\nMs. Wilson w
 as Assistant Deputy Minister of Emergency Management and Regional Operatio
 ns at Public Safety Canada in 2011-2013\, where she lead a national emerge
 ncy management system and strategies to reduce and mitigate disasters in C
 anada and then was Senior Assistant Deputy Minister\, Treaties and Aborigi
 nal Government at Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada focus
 ed on reconciling Aboriginal and Crown interests through the negotiation a
 nd implementation of modern treaties.\n\nGina was then appointed as Associ
 ate Deputy Minister at Employment and Social Development Canada in March\,
  2014 where she served the Minister of State for Seniors and the Minister 
 of State for Social Development\, while tackling departmental efforts to r
 educe the backlog at the Social Security Tribunal. In addition\, Gina lead
  initiatives such as 'Job Bank/Job Match' - a national website to match em
 ployers and job seekers and several additional corporate and workplace ini
 tiatives.\n\nGina Wilson was appointed Associate Deputy Minister of Public
  Safety Canada on July 6\, 2015.\n\n \n\nHÉLÈNE LAURENDEAU\n	Associate Depu
 ty MinisterIndigenous and Northern Affairs Canada\n\nMs. Hélène Laurendeau
  was appointed Associate Deputy Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Norther
 n Development Canada in December 2013.\n\nIn early 1991\, Ms. Laurendeau j
 oined the Public Service with the Department of Justice. She served as Leg
 al Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel for four federal organizations. From 1
 999 until mid-2011\, she held three different senior executive positions a
 t the Treasury Board Secretariat\, notably responsible for Labour Relation
 s and Risk Management in Human Resources.\n\nFrom September 2003 to Octobe
 r 2004\, Ms. Laurendeau held the position of Special Advisor to the Clerk 
 of the Privy Council on Cabinet confidences.\n\nMost recently\, she served
  as Senior Vice-President\, Policy Branch\, of the Public Service Commissi
 on of Canada. Her responsibilities there included delegation and accountab
 ility\, political activities and non-partisanship and appointment policies
 .\n\nMs. Laurendeau graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1982 with a
  B.A. in Arts (Communication) and with a Law degree in 1985. She was calle
 d to the Québec Bar in 1986. Ms. Laurendeau practiced administrative\, lab
 our relations and human rights law in the private sector from 1986 to 1991
 .\n\nRaised in Lanaudière\, Québec\, but with strong ties to the Bas St-La
 urent\, Ms. Laurendeau completed her high school studies at Collège de l’A
 ssomption. She is the proud mother of two dynamic young adults.\n\n \n\nHI
 LLARY THATCHER\n	Assistant Deputy MinisterMinistry of Aboriginal Affairs\, 
 Government of Ontario\n\nHillary Thatcher joined the provincial government
  in September 2013 as the Assistant Deputy Minister for Aboriginal Relatio
 ns and Ministry Partnerships at the Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs. Prior 
 to joining the Ministry\, Hillary was the Director of First Nation and Met
 is Relations at the Ontario Power Authority\, where she worked closely on 
 procurement and funding support programs for Aboriginal communities. She a
 lso worked with remote First Nations and a team of energy planners on the 
 development of a business case to examine the feasibility of expanding Ont
 ario's transmission system to the remote First Nations in North-West Ontar
 io. Hillary is Metis with lineage from Northern Alberta and is an active m
 ember of Toronto's Urban Aboriginal community. Hillary lives in Riverdale 
 with her husband Clint Davis and their two children\, Fern and Riel.\n\n 
 \n\nDEBBIE BERESFORD -GREEN\n	Assistant Deputy MinisterCorporate Services B
 ranch\, Health Canada\n\nDebbie Beresford-Green is the Assistant Deputy Mi
 nister\, Corporate Services for Health Canada and the Public Health Agency
  of Canada responsible for a variety of functions including HR\, IM/IT\, R
 eal Property and Security.\n	Since joining Health Canada in 2008\, Ms Beres
 ford-Green has held various executive positions and been responsible for r
 egional regulatory operations including regional laboratories and inspecti
 on activities\; and grants and contributions funding for programs and the 
 National anti-Drug Strategy and the Roadmap for Official languages.\n\nMs 
 Beresford-Green began her Public Service career as a Customs Inspector. Ov
 er the course of her 17 years with the Public Service she has worked in po
 sitions of increasing responsibility at Industry Canada\, Treasury Board o
 f Canada Secretariat\, and the Canada Revenue Agency at both headquarters
