 architecture de paysage of the Université de Montréal\, Ron Williams is a 
 Montreal landscape architect and architect.  As a founding partner of the 
 Montreal landscape architecture and urban design firm WAA (Williams\, Asse
 lin\, Ackaoui and associates)\, he participated in many important and awar
 d-winning projects including the Montreal Beach Park on Ile Notre-Dame\; t
 he Biodôme de Montréal\; the Jardin de l’Espace Saint-Roch and the rehabil
 itation of avenue Honoré-Mercier in Quebec City. Mr. Williams is a Fellow 
 of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) and of the Royal Ar
 chitectural Institute of Canada (RAIC)\, and was honoured in 2007 with the
  Lifetime Achievement Award of the CSLA. His book Landscape Architecture i
 n Canada\, a history of Canada’s designed landscapes\, was recently publis
 hed by 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ-Queen’s University Press and the Presses de l’Université de 
 Montréal in English and French versions.\n\n****
 \n\nProfesseur pendant longtemps à l’École d'architecture de paysage de l’
 Université de Montréal\, Ron Williams est un architecte paysagiste et arch
 itecte montréalais. En tant que membre fondateur de l’agence d’architectur
 e de paysage\, d’urbanisme et de design urbain WAA Inc.\, il a contribué à
  la conception et à la réalisation du Parc-Plage de l’Île Notre-Dame\, du 
 Biodôme de Montréal\, du Jardin de l’Espace Saint-Roch et du réaménagement
  de l’avenue Honoré-Mercier à Québec. Monsieur Williams est Associé (Fello
 w) de l’Association des architectes paysagistes du Canada (AAPC) et de l’I
 nstitut royal d’architecture du Canada (IRAC) et il a reçu\, en 2007\, le 
 Prix d'excellence pour l'ensemble des réalisations de l’AAPC. Son livre Ar
 chitecture de paysage du Canada\, une histoire des paysages aménagés du Ca
 nada\, vient d’être publié par les Presses de l’Université de Montréal et 
 la 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ-Queen’s University Press\, en versions française et anglaise.\n
 \n \n\nThe Urban Studies @91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Seminar Series invites speakers to presen
 t on a variety of ongoing research\, projects\, and issues related to urba
 n studies. The seminars are hosted and organized by the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ School of U
 rban Planning\, with participation from the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ School of Environment\,
  and Department of Geography. The seminars typically run from noon to 1pm 
 on Fridays throughout the semester and are open to students\, faculty\, an
 d other members of the urban studies group.\n
