William Turkel (Western) Arduino for Digital Humanists

William Turkel will be joining Makers and Coders 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ (MC2) for an afternoon exploring the uses of Arduino for digital humanities.  Turkel's work focuses on the interfaces between physical computing and historical scholarship.  Among his recents works is a reconceptualization of history as hacking in Rethinking History (March 2011).  He is also involved in the Digging into Data Old Bailey Project ' Criminal Intent' (along with 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ's own Stefan Sinclair) which uses large scale analysis on English historical court records.
