Jenny Lewis, Clinical Research Occupational Therapist, Ronald Melzack Post Doctoral Fellow, The Alan Edwards Centre for Research on Pain, 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ

As an Occupational Therapist, Jenny Lewis has an extensive clinical background in treating multifaceted physical conditions. At The Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases, Bath UK, a national centre for the treatment of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, she completed a PhD which explored the phenomenon of body perception disturbance within this painful condition. She recently commenced a Post Doctoral Fellowship at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ to gain further understanding of this area by utilizing brain imaging techniques. An outline of this proposed research forms the basis of the presentation. Furthermore, Jenny will discuss patient descriptions of their affected limb and how these altered perceptions may influence treatment.
