Guided tour of 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ's scientific and botanical heritage by Bronwyn Chester and Ingrid Birker with stops at many of the proudest buildings such as the lab where Ernest Rutherford first split the atom or the place where 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ's first astronomer set the global lines of longitude for accurate worldwide timekeeping. You will also visit the building where Maude Abbott (the heroine of the current bestseller The Heart Specialist), a pioneer in cardiac surgery, did her early research and see two living fossils nearby – both of them trees! The tour ends at the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Bookstore with a 10% discount for participants on all books referenced during the walk.
