Invitation to Poster Session

***EXCLUSIVE TO MASTER STUDENTS, DOCTORAL STUDENTS AND POST-DOCTORAL INTERNS***

The Organizing Committee wishes to use the opportunity presented by the 2009 International Gambling and Addictions Symposium to allow master, doctoral and post-doctoral students to display the results of their research or ongoing projects.

Admissibility, procedures, and selection criteria are as follows:

  • The posting student must be registered at the Symposium (at the special fee of $250 plus taxes).
  • The student must be the principal author of the research.
  • The display may be in French or in English. The title and the summary must be in the language of presentation.
  • Display projects must be submitted before 11:59 pm, July 17, 2009 (Montreal time). The display will be judged for the scientific merits of its content, its pertinence to the theme of the Symposium, its appearance, and its clarity. The student must provide an abstract of a maximum of 200 words, which must include:
    • The title of the research
    • The names of all its authors and the institution of origin
    • The complete contact information for the student

The display may treat any subject in the field of gambling, and its associated dependencies.

- The student will be advised by email of acceptance or refusal to the poster session of the Symposium no later than June 31, 2009.

Procedures to submit your abstract
Please submit your abstract of a maximum of 200 words in WORD or PDF format by email to the following address : jeux-gambling2009poster [at] fqrsc.gouv.qc.ca

Awards for Best Displays
Displays posted at the Symposium will be evaluated by a jury. Three of them will be chosen as the best presentations. Winners will be announced at the Closing Plenary Session.
